Lust
Scripture: 1 John 3: 15 – 17 (15)Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (16) For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vain glory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (17)And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. Early this week, I was asked by a young man in a news group discussion and he sounded pretty earnest. He asked, “What is lust” For a moment I thought I could answer that and then I tried and to my surprise I was at a loss for words. And so I began rummaging all the resources that were available to answer that question. At the end of the study I was surprised at the things that the Lord had revealed to me and I am sure that the insights that the Lord has revealed to me would be of great help to you also.
